Renville Minnesota | We started a year and a half ago. 1st grade then.
I should say my wife did. She’s awesome at it and is her passion. I’m just supporting staff.
Your kids are the perfect age. Sponges. And young.
Be prepared, Once the ball is rolling, 2-3 weeks, you’ll be looking for more to teach your kids as they will have a weeks worth of work done by Wednesday morning.
Example:
Trips to the post office, have your kids manage the situation. The bank, the grocery store, everything is a learning opportunity.
I just blew my 8 year olds mind telling him their are different trees, he just thought they were trees. So now he knows hackberry, basswood, cottonwood, Oak etc when we walk through the park.
Little things we take for granted, they absorb better than I do at my age.
It works for us, and I’d put my kids social ability at or above any his age, but that on us, we are his teacher, it’s our responsibility, not anyone else’s. Nobody but us to point the finger at.
No way would we allow our kid to wear a mask all day at school. That’s ridiculous.
