My bet.....condensation from the hot corn and hot air from the corn against a cool bin wall. It condensed enough that the water ran down the wall and spoiled the corn. Regardless of how big your fan is, the wall in any bin is almost a dead spot which does not get the air movement like the center of a bin. I fight the same thing. I try to keep my corn temps down, but still get dust & corn sticking to the binwalls some years. I can't get much lower than 120* exiting the dryer. I would prefer 100* or less. I had the boys pressure washing one bin to get the corn and dust down. It's been hot here. Can you say White-man sweat lodge? Also...the corn quality coming out of the field last year was junk. Lighter tests weight, more fines and prone to go bad faster than most other years. I feel that was a big factor too last fall. Going forward...try to keep corn going into the bin as low of temp as you can. Pay attention to harvest conditions. If you have conditions where you are getting a lot of condensation in the bin....perhaps switch bins, or slow the dryer down to allow the bin fan time to catch up by removing the moisture.
