I was wondering how current that data is, and I didn't see a date on that chart. That is why I asked.  

I can understand young people having a hard time investing for retirement when they are young.  You can understand what is being said, but when you have to choose between short term needs and retirement funding, it is easy to push that retirement funding into the future. BTDT.    I have not always fully funded my retirement opportunity. However, looking at that chart, I believe I am doing at least a little better than median.   :)
