Glasgow, Ky | On this forum, and society in general, it is a given that tobacco use is much worse than alcohol. From my perspective tobacco use generally affects the health of the user only where alcohol abuse can affect the health of the user, cause loss of life to others in car accidents, murders, family problems leading to abuse and divorce, affect the ability to work and can contribute to financial problems.
Just looking at it in terms of its overall affect on society and the lives of others it seems that alcohol is a greater problem. Not all folks that use alcohol have any of the problems mentioned above but not all tobacco users have significant health issues either. Why the constant bashing of tobacco and alcohol gets a free ride?
