My GF is a hugger. It has always bothered me that she seems to hug everyone in sight. At least I broke her of that habit with me. We haven't touched in several years. Now that things are opening up she's back to her old hugging tricks. I can't seem to make her realize that some folks done't want to be hugged. She says, Oh they will just tell me if that don't want a hug. My reply is that she comes on so fast that the people can't come up with a smooth way to turn it down. Being an ER nurse she is more exposed than many folks and really shouldn't be doing this. I'm embarrassed by this and find it easier just to stay home.

I am a retired teacher and encourage people to support their teachers but please it doesn't need to be an actual physical hug.
