Congrats to Brassring.

I lost my dad to prostate cancer. For those of you unfamiliar with the PSA test, the most important thing to watch is the trend. The 2-5 normal range is almost meaningless with just one test and is part of the reason the PSA got so much negative publicity about 10 years ago. But if you have a record of annual PSA tests, it is absolutely an excellent way to monitor for cancer.

Say you have a consistent score around 1 for several years and then you have a score of 4. Something is happening and now is the time to figure it out. Even though it's in the normal range, in this case waiting can be deadly.

If your healthcare provider has a way to access your electronic records online or on a phone app, sign up for it. This is a great way to track your PSA.
