CNY | Speed can be changed by swapping drive and driven pulleys. If you are making dry hay you won't be happy taking the impellers out unless it's very mature grass. Back when hay conditioners came out they cut a day off drying time and were rapidly adopted. If you are making silage or balage, they aren't needed and may actually slow initial drying. The cut plant keeps on losing moisture by transpiration for some time if the "veins" aren't disrupted by conditioning. | |
