Mesh tape sucks... it is used mostly for plaster repair...
Even if you get the buckets of mud you need to add water.. they are way to thick.
You can buy it buy the bag and mix yourself too. Mix as much as you need and if you keep the bag dry it will still be good in 3 years for the next time you need some. Pre mix - just throw it away when you are done...it will be a rock in 3 years.
