Subject: Earliest finish planting since 2012

Douglass Kansas

Finished planting 3 days later this year when compared to 2012. Most years we finish 1 to 2 weeks later.

Corn in 2012 made 6 times more than 2011

Soybeans in 2012 made 50% more than in 2011

Both were less than half of last years yields.

In 2012 we went at least 8 weeks without rain starting on June 21

The early finish makes me worry about drought since it only rained twice in June (1.75 on 19th, 0.1 on 22nd), so I put sedan grass seed in with the last 15 acres of soybeans to give us something to hay.
