So it’s ok if folks die from the flu seasonally, but not ok if it’s a year round deal with COVID?

Got it.

This all seems like it has morphed into a clever strategy to feed on people’s desire to more completely control all aspects of themselves and those around them and it is using people’s fear of death as the tool. For some reason, people are willingly making life changes and trading critical thinking for blind obedience because they ultimately don’t want people to die from COVID (though dying prematurely from the flu is ok). Wonder if these same folks will have a similar amount of energy for other causes of death - like abortion, obesity, drug/alcohol use, gun violence, etc. Seems this whole deal might be exposing a crossroads in this country - do we choose increased govt control ‘to save us from ourselves’ or maintain the personal liberties this country was founded on?

And just to throw another angle at this - all of this is based on biased data of COVID being more widespread than it really is. There are many reports of over-reporting infections, deaths, etc. I haven’t heard 1 report of COVID being under-reported. If this was simply reporting error, don’t you think the error would be equally split between over & under reporting? Clearly not the case...
