I've helped a Daughter and more recently a Grandson set up accounts with Fidelity. I like the research function really well with them. Lower cost trades, but I think some firms advertise lower than Fidelity. Anyway, worth a look.
Fidelity is rated very high for being user friendly.
We have some stuff with Vanguard, and they're great for their funds, but kind of a mess for individual stocks.
