sw ontario | I personally know of 2 cases were drunk kids crashed --#1 claimed muuncipality had gravel too loose , boy lost use of legs and ins. bought them another farm, other case 3 am. drunk crashes into side of train and gets settlement as there was no flashing wigwams (back road, gravel.close to drivers home') as they claimed train didn't have side clearance lights to warn drivers...like others said 'lawyers chase the money'.......and just because u get a settlement win doesn't always mean u get the cash, as 4 local guys died in car crash coming home from late night work shift (1993) , court said each widow to get $200k from ins., 30 yrs. later they still had not received a penny and had 'interest added' claim , friend's mom died a couple yrs. ago and she said insurance is just waiting for me to die...ins. companies better at collecting premiums than paying claims | |
