Subject: RE: Got a question for western Canadian oat growers

Morris, Mb.
Our oats mostly go to Minneapolis/Iowa/Nebraska. Current bids are around $4.25 bu cdn. We have sold some to Anderson’s in the past and it all went out on producer cars. They would try to build unit trains out of a few producers. I would think most stuff coming out of western Canada into Toledo would be railed to Thunder Bay on unit trains then put on lake freighters. I know in the past there have also been trains sent to Peterborough Ontario if there is a shortage in Ontario.
