They are air over hydraulic to be exact.
The trailer mechanics told me the same thing to just trade trailers. I figured it'd be cheaper to maybe just get the new style air disk brakes verses the air drum disk brakes due to maybe then I wouldn't have to change axle housings? Idk, looking for ideas.
