Central NC | Some truthful humor, in the late 50s, uncle had a 13 percent tenant farmer, one Sunday morning, someone knocked on the back door, “hoss”. Had dads log chain around his neck and wanted to sell for 2 dollars, dad said if you are standing here when I get back I am going to kill u, dad went to closet, got 2 shells got the double barrel, when he passed the kitchen table he closed the gun and it shot thru our kelvinator refrigerator, the tenant left the chain at the back door, luckily the shot didn’t hit any coils, dad got the tire patch kit and covered the hole and painted white over it, the frig ran like than till mid 80s, story from eastern NC | |
