I would visit with neighbors that have been growing cover crops for a few years. Rye is simple to start
with don't let it get too big or plant too thick.
Seneca County SWCD has a very good program technician. His name is Bret Margraf. Bret has been using
cover crops on his own farms.
Just remember cover crops will always be changing. What works for you may not work for someone else.
