Who's fault is it really that causes the complaining on Agtalk. If land prices were 50% of what they are, would things be better? Lower rent, lower land cost, ect. $500,000+ tractors and combines, the sky was the limit. "But this is different than the 80's." Yes it is. But there are some similarities. So if your a big shooter who has and or is paying high price for land, go ahead and give yourself a good pat on the back, you deserve it.
Farmers love to complain ,but we are special, deserve our gov't money and its really not us that benefit its cheap food for the consumer****************** now honestly ,its not like 10 yrs. ago ,but sure isn't like the '80's , if land was to drop by 50%+ today and interest rates even double the hurt would be terrible.........now be a politician sticking up for farmers, every land sale is at a higher price , guys bid like nuts to rent more land and driving through farm country u don't see much poverty and then u have to justify sending out farm support programs.....a mirror can show us who causes a lot of our own grief....we have hogs to and its been brutal lately , and I tell myself 'we choose to feed hogs,we can do something else'....like the guy still mfg. hacksaw blades and wonders why sales are slow |
