I think the politicians have managed to convince a large percentage of the population that they (politicians) know best and everyone should just follow there instruction and they will tell us when we cane come out and resume life.

I do not understand why citizens accept the direction of politicians and invest in them the power to control everything.
No one person can possibly have all the knowledge and facts that is superior to individuals evaluating their own situation and acting in their own best interest.

Governor Jelly Belly is a perfect example of why, his only qualification to dictate how citizens should live is that he was born to very rich parents and was willing to spend millions of his own money to get elected governor. Neither of these facts in any way qualifies him to dictate to the citizens.

End of Rant :)

Goodness buddy. First off, the Farm Progress Show was scheduled for Boone, IA-the governor of Illinois is not relevant to this situation. Iowa has a republican governor, for what its worth. Also, the science of this pandemic shows that large gatherings people could be problematic when it comes to community spread-best to hold off until next year. Hard headed thought processes will not move us forward.
