Subject: RE: Starting wood pile fires

Central Alberta
We used to use a 100 lb propane bottle with a propane torch on the back of the pickup for starting fires. The orifice was replaced with an old drilled-out grease zerk, so it would put out a 4-foot long blue flame. Good for starting all sorts of fires. If you wanted a bit of extra kick, turn the propane bottle upside down. Instant flamethrower.
