Lancaster PA | Take a culture of the infected quarter then treat with Pirsue. After we get the culture results from the vet we treat with something different if advised. Pursue has the shortest milk withhold, might work , might not. I figure it beats doing nothing until you get culture results to tell you what type of mastitis you're dealing with. Staph Aureus cows are often sold but sometimes are treated if they are a new infection. Sometimes we will kill the quarter if she is a good cow that we really want to keep. | |
