Subject: Sell Old Crop Corn or Wait For Report

mascoutah, IL
Dad has 25% of old crop corn left. He gave up on marketing and dumped it in my hands yesterday. Should I sell now or wait out the report. This is his last year of farming so won't have to do this again, he does this every summer and kind of makes me feel bad about it because I "should" have made him sell sooner. He's almost 80 and still waiting for that next drought he can cash in on but loses out on that most years. That being said its kind of sad to see him have to quit because of health. I learned a lot of lessons from that man over the years. I thankfully sold out of old crop in January, that being said this is the first year in a while I caught the markets right so believe me I'm not patting myself on the back.
