S.E. Iowa | If you pour yourself, 4000 lb mix is what alot of driveways are. Highways are more not sure but 7000 lb area. If you don't have a good mix it may not last . I have poured walls with plastic lined forms and the finish is really slick
I think a strong mix and plastic forms would be good. No experience here doing that but that's my thoughts. Might check what permanent columns are poured at.
