| You're a smart guy to ask. Been kicking this around as a spread trader that's spent most of 2020 mad.... Have all of these elevator "marketing" options that allow farmers to move and not price their physical (DP, basis, etc) work against the commercials when they get filled up with grain that they don't own or can't do with it freely what they want? There's a large commercial long in the market that I think is closely related to the basis only corn in their elevators, and to add it makes it harder to buy large quantities when you're holding large quantities of unpriced. Possession is given up, so I guess elevators can move it down the road at least.... I may have asked a dumb question here. | |
