If prices are in the tank this fall is to put grain on DP. It is legalized theft. The end user gets the use of your grain without having to bid up for it. Most will try to talk you into it, do not do it. Tell them to put it on storage if using commercial storage. DP has been an end user gift for 50+ years.

The worst thing may be DP, but the second worst is giving someone physical control of your grain without having the basis set. Even under commercial storage, the incentive to "bid up" for grain drops. Most places have an "outgoing" fee, plus the cost of you loading it up there and going down the road. I have never heard of a producer actually doing such, maybe it happens, but rarely. The grain buyers know this and factor that into basis bids also.
