As mentioned, a good fencer is a must. Bought this one last fall after gramps old IH gave up. Could use this one to jump start the heart of a dead man. I have a hot wire over a bunk line in the cow yard. Last fall my bald sweaty head touched the wire, woke up laying on the ground surrounded by cows. It’s a grass burner, hottest fencer I’ve ever owned! Have two Parmark solars.....JOKE! I’d lick their wires.
A few years ago I had an old mp2 charger only powering about 30 yards of fence around some hogs. One rainy day I slipped and without thinking set my left hand on the fence while my right was in the muck while wearing rubber boots. I’m pretty sure that my heart stopped for a second. It (or my involuntary muscle spasm) literally sent me back About 5 feet. Felt like Barry Bonds had got me square in the chest with a grand slam homer swing. Haven’t touched a fence without testing it (even when I know it’s turned off) since then.
Moral of the story, I’d they know to stay away, they will. |
