scmn | I got lucky and only made 15 bales that were to wet and they were 5x5s. The remaining 170 5x6s were all dry. We have been missing most of the rains lately and I can not remember the last time I added a bale to the bed pack. Looks like I will have a surplus going into fall; I plan to make another 170 again this year and keep using the oldest first.
I don't ever want to get down to just a few bales again; the same goes for grass hay. Just started ditches yesterday and did quick inventory and still have enough left from last year to get thru April 2021. I think Garvo is on to something with 2+ years feed stocks on hand. Now I just need to built another bin to store corn. | |
