Northwest Iowa | Wasn’t around in the 80’s but just had a customer tell me yesterday that he was able to refinance a land loan from 5% to the high 3% range. This is with farm credit, take it for what it is, but then they have been kicking back .9% dividend the last couple years which would get that to a low 3%. From my knowledge locking in 20 year land loans that cheap is way different than what they were dealing with in the 80’s. Inputs and living costs in this country are through the roof is what the issue is in my opinion this time. Will second that it really sucks. | |
