Subject: RE: Pressure tank in well

Big Sky Country
I have a float that works backwards to sump pump float---turns on when water level drops.

Farm stores have them have also used sump pump float and tape when wasn't going to town.

Single ball bearing in it, rolls from one end to the other.

It plugs into power, well plugs into it.

On 1000 and 1500 gal fiberglass tanks.

Water has to drop about 6 " for it to turn on.

I buy the submersible pumps that don't need extra wire, control box, keep it simple.

Either pull the check valve above the pump or drill 1/8" or so hole maybe 8' below ground, so it will drain back and not freeze.

No reason for pressure tank, nice to have lots of water and room when cows come in, pump might as well run longer and less often. kiss.

Ps- 1500 gal tank is about 8' x 14', 1000 is about 10' round, two of them are on fence lines. Glass tanks last long time--- if no cows get in them
