You can use vinyl 1x4's menards etc should have the uv rating on them 50 yr 100 yr etc. I used to use pvc garage door trim with the rubber strip. With caulk behind the rubber strip.
Most pvc plank msw, ap etc does not have a uv inhibitor I believe Nebraska plastics is only manufacturer with a 50yr uv rating. Also can get a heavier weight for pumpout covers.
