Iowa | I should have said it reminded me of the 80's instead of it being like the 80's. That would be in the sense of the swimming naked with the tide going out analogy. Some seem to have become very dependent on the government keeping the tide from going out these days.
Yes, high interest rates got some in trouble back in the 80's. For those not carrying a lot of debt or even saving some money for future use, high interest rates were not a problem. I know rates are lower now, but 10 grand per acre is a lot to finance even at lower rates for those who are appear to be attempting it, unless they have an ace in the hole that I'm not seeing. | |
