NC Indiana | My daughter is 19 and hasn't played since she was 13 so we never got into the 1 piece vs 2 piece bats for softball, but my son played rec league and travel ball up until this year (was going to play 8th grade, but season was cancelled and we already turned down travel ball) and he had both in his bat bag. He hit better with the 1 piece bat than with the 2 piece. I would look for a used one on ebay if that is the direction you want to go. Bat should be broke in already and still have lots of life. We always try to by last years bats at the end of the season, but I still wouldn't want the whole team using them as with had issues letting kids use my sons bat and they were throwing them off the fence and dugout, not hanging them up, and beat them on their spikes, plus not many kids need to be swinging the size bat my son swings. | |
