Best thing I ever was put a VFD drive on our vaccum pump. Allowed me to convert from single phase to three. Then was able to put a 10 hp motor in. Never once had any problems with it, ran 10 or 12 years with it. Quit milking in 2019', darn cool the technology when only milking one cow it would slow pump down, start attaching units on other cows and pump would increase. Also have one on a irrigation pump 7 1/2 hp. I can't use it to it's full potential, because not enough water. I only use it to convert power to three phase. It has saved motors and allowed me to go from two 5 hp. to one 7 1/2hp. It has been in since 2003' our power is terrible here, and on end of the line. It has never failed us yet. Power company had incentives to install them, so it was a factor as well to do it.
