My 14 year old daughter with pretty severe autism (she can communicate ok, she just prefers to keep it about the facts (yes, no, what she wants or needs....no small talk) eats pretty healthy, lots of fruits, but otherwise very limited...pepperoni or cheese only pizza, hot dogs, cold cut combo at Subway and steak...thats about it.
But a strange thing...she loves raw hamburger...won't eat it cooked but If I have prepackaged hamburgers hidden in the fridge, she'll inevitably find them and there will be a small hole where she shoved her hand in through the plastic. Won't touch a cooked burger. This really bothers me, someday she could get really sick. But its almost like she's craving raw meat.
