Yes we've had trouble with the auger. We cut with a 13 foot discbine so we're fine. Been chopping with the 1265 since 05 and has been a relatively trouble free machine. We chop with a 7110 magnum so we run out of power before we run out of capacity on the chopper

Would not be a cheap 'fix' but will enable you to hold your machine together a LOT longer try these things.
In off season - - - take your pickup auger - - - - you've got to get rid of the flighting directly in front of the feed rolls.
Install fingers - - - likely not cheap - - - should not only feed better but it will reduce the stress on the front end drives.

I'd suggest changing the top feed roll drive from 50 to 60 chain.
Can't remember if the sprockets had an internal spline - - - if they did then machine off the sprocket and weld on hardened tooth 60 tooth sprockets in their place.

You aren't running a lot of power through yours so you likely don't 'need' to change much else.

The spinner used to transfer material from after the cutter head to the blower was a great idea.
The rest of the machine, imo, was an under-built very light weight bit of iron - - - built to be cheap to build and without the guts to hang in there for the long term in serious work.
