CENTRAL ILLINIOS | That article talks about how lower acres translates to lower nitrogen demand but does not address how a lower corn price will affect nitrogen rates. I know this is backyarditis but I have not seen a single producer side-dressing 28 this year. We are a heavy fall applied NH3 area here but up until now we have always had a fair amount of 28 go on in June to make up any shortfall, perceived or real. I have no clue on acres. Some neighbors switched intended bean acres to corn at the last minute but I personally will have more beans than last year. | |
