My dad did the same thing, only he wasn't as punctual. He would go in for dinner as close to noon as he could but not necessarily on the dot. But after eating he would lay down on the couch for about 20 minutes, no matter what. Of course, he also claimed that he never watched the soap opera "Days of Our Lives," but he could tell you the name of every character and who they were currently married to. :-) Dad's preference was to get to the house at noon because that's when Paul Harvey's 15 minute "news" program came on. It was followed by a 15 minute program of a preacher he really liked. That was the 30 minutes it took to eat and then the 20 minute nap. After that he was good to go - all night if necessary. Also, I don't think he ever slept past 6 o'clock in the morning in his life, even after he retired.
