They had land very much undervalued compared to recent sales here as well. Not only that, but they did not sow much difference in value between really good 100% tillable land and poor quality land that was only partially tillable. In either case, the cash rental rates were significantly higher than what the university rental surveys would indicate.
Cibo another tillable? buying farmland? commodity speculation?
