But it is pretty easy to buy a bundle of it at the grocery store. So the incentive is just not there to put in the work.

As is usually the case, you pretty much nailed it. It is handy to have our own as long as it doesn't cause us much extra work, lol. I have gotten that way with sweet corn. I used to take great pride in our patch but seed has gotten so crazy expensive and by the time we spray it for bugs and fence it for coons, it's just easier to buy it at our local feed store. We don't freeze it any more so we get our fill and call it good. About the only thing I think we can't find at the store that is cheaper and better is tomatoes. There just doesn't seem to be any substitute for good garden tomatoes "here".
