Southern Illinois | To me that is a lot of oil and UAN and at least here, as hot as it is, I wouldn’t spray that. I would drop the UAN, cut the ATZ in half and put 3 oz of
Mesotrione down for sure. Then if the field breaks late, you can come back with another 3 oz of mesotrione and 32 oz of Atrazine.
I also prefer almost any other Group 15 besides dual. If it’s looking like spotty rain chances, I like Outlook this time of year. Got a pretty good chance of getting 3/4” of rain, run Anthem Maxx.
If you are not worried about carryover into beans next year, 4 oz of clopyralid is a good option here. Need average to eliminate carryover concerns and probably not a good idea to be cool and plant beans in March either. | |
