Now 15% of the sows need to go or it’s gonna be the longest most painful money burner we’ve ever seen. Double stocked barns all over and new facilities still being built. The first loss is always the smallest one.

US Pork/Hog producers did this to themselves. Past 5 yrs expansion has been absolutely NUTS.
We built 3 new packing plants in the past 5 yrs and we were still on pace to run tight on kill capacity even before Governors started shutting plants down due to China Virus.
China is absolutely taking advantage of the situation but we have no one to blame but ourselves for the constant expansion and over production.
