Subject: RE: Our sprayers over the years

First sprayer I ran was a IH F20 with a 55 gal drum mounted on homemade brackets bolted to each side of frame rail, roller pump & 20' boom mounted on front. Pump was fed from hoses going into top of barrel. One thing you learned quickly not to do was run dry, otherwise you had to pull his off pump & suck on it to get it to prime. I can still taste 2-4D

Hired spraying for awhile after the F20 then went to Seattle tanks on a 806, then on 1066 for preplant & hired post. Then I built a 40' boom that mounted on the 3pt of the 1066 to spray post. When I bought a 1486 I bought a 500 gal semi mount "go between" for spraying preplant. For post spraying but the "go between" on the back of the 4020 & mounted the boom on the loader.

As we expanded we went back to hiring spraying done for a few years then bought our first SP sprayer, a JD 6500 with 420 gal tank& 60' boom. Put in a AgLeader 500 for auto steer & had a Ravens 440 spray control. Next came a CIH 3185 with 75' boom and finally to the CIH 3310 with 1,000 gal tank, 90' boom & AIM Command.
