If all the stars lined up, corn planted 2.75 inches deep wouldnt be an inch tall in 7 days. Put it an inch deep, comes up quick, but will fall over due to no brace roots in july..
He said “1 inch sprout”. Not 1” tall corn above ground
I planted a few acres of corn on May 16 that was up out of the ground in 8 days, planted 2.5” deep.
Hefty corn 7 days sprouted, 1" tall.
