Subject: Hydraulic question...single acting cylinder

WC Saskatchewan
I’ve got a pup style dump box I bought from a gravel company that’s going out of business. I want to hook it behind a Puma 170 to haul dirt and gravel around the farm. There’s a single 3/4” hyd line coming from the telescoping ram. I’ve hooked the hose to one Scv on the tractor and it’ll go up but takes forever to come down in float. Is there another way I should be hooking this up to the tractor? I’ve necked down the 3/4” line to 1/2” to work with the standard pioneer coupler, maybe that’s too much restriction?
