Top middle of MO. land of green hills and grass | It’s 7000 row units on a Great Plains drill frame. Actually bought it off here.
At 15’8” wide, I was concerned about travel, but hooked it up, added a set of magnetic lights to the back, swapped the implement tires for 10 ply pickup tires and started east.
Took 3.5 hours to get out there with a gas stop and a quick stop to evaluate the damage from a deer I hit, and 6 hours back. Was able to run about 45-50 pretty easy on Hwy 36, Upset a few folks in downtown St Joe, Mo. the last 45 miles on narrow 2 lanes got a bit more exciting. Between narrow lanes, no shoulder, and when the planter got to rocking on the uneven pavement, it wanted to wag the tail pretty bad...that dropped us to about 30, and all conversation in the cab stopped for a while, but we made it.
