There is quite a lot on Youtube that is diet related. Might be worth looking into. It has been shown that in at least some cases of dementia the brain is starved because it has lost the ability to utilize glucose for fuel as effectively as it used to. A big contributor of that problem is insulin resistance. Some are calling Alzheimer's type III diabetes. It has been shown that the brain can use ketones for fuel and that it is actually preferred as a fuel for the brain. Ongoing research on the effectiveness of exogenous ketone esters and MCT oil. A ketogenic diet is a way for the body to produce ketones naturally. Worth checking into. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxGiQ7YrUYE https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dr+ken+berry+dementia+ https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=keto+diet+and+dementia+ Wife and I take some MCT oil daily for the last year because of the results of that first presentation above. As we get older the brain looses part of its ability to be fully fueled. Ketones adds an additional fuel source, as shown in the scans and charts in that research presentation. John
