| Great question. As others suggested, I would switch to chrome or firefox. Chrome is my preferred, but firefox is great also. As another has noted, Microsoft Edge is also a possibility. It's Microsoft's attempt to put IE to sleep and come out with something new that will keep up with Chrome/Firefox/Android.
Over time technologies and programming languages change. In the past, the web used to be much more static. But now webpages are able to load information dynamically and always be up to date without you having to hit the refresh button. Ex: Facebook or Twitter newsfeed. So web browsers had to update their capabilities to allow for this new technology.
