Midwest | Grant had the basic leadership skills to understand the situation, mission, execution, and lead on the battlefield. The North was just lucky to have the right person in the right place at the right time. He was a skilled tactician and always kept his head clear to see the situation for what it was and act accordingly. His ability to rebound from adversity was quite remarkable. I think the North was incredibly lucky because you really don't know somebodies leadership traits until you see success or its just too late. Some leadership traits come from training but some just come from the man naturally. | |
