Bumper.......oh no need a gooseneck in the trunk, I've seen a couple done that way.
Saw a station wagon with a gooseneck hitch sticking through he roof one time back when I was in high school. We were in Stephenville, Tx for a livestock judging contest and stopped for lunch. Looked like a 3"pipe upright braced to the corners and a hole cut in the roof for the ball. Lol
