Eastern Arkansas | That is exactly what I’ve been doing. It’s embarrassing the number of older 4wd tractors I’ve bought in the last couple of years And have on the list for rebuild or parts. . All of mine have Allison Transmissions.
I have a Steiger industrial and a PTA that are pretty much done, and they get ran more than my new machines. Put 1000 hours in the industrial in the last year and 700 on the Steiger. Use them for tillage in the spring and on dirt pans in the summer.
The cost to go through one and make right is definitely not to restrictive, especially compared to new and once you get one in good shape with new tires, repairs are pennies on the dollar compared to newer equipment.
