North central TX
Those are onsite mixers. The ingredients are all dry in the truck hopper and they mix water in as it comes out. Used around here for long hauls from the plant and sometimes when they will be stacked up waiting to dump, or if the job requires multiple smaller batches. For example, I saw them using one of those on a section of road where they put in a bunch of street lamps along the hwy when they were pouring the aprons around the posts. Had to finish them as they went as they had a mile worth and a smaller crew. Each looked like it might have been a 1/4- 1/2 yard pour.
